Gita 101

Iam currently writing Gita 101: Understanding and Living the Bhagavad-Gita because the Bhagavad-Gita is a cardinal text for all yoga traditions. Numerous people have heard of the Gita and yet many do not understand it. At least that was the case when I first shop-lifted a Penguin Editions of the book at the Cornell University bookstore when I was twenty. I quickly put the book down because I couldn’t get its meaning. Gradually, though, over the next two decades of serious study, some of the Gita’s wisdom and mysticism dawned in me – enough, I feel, so that I can unpack its’ essential teachings for you in nugget form. In Gita 101: Understanding and Living the Bhagavad-Gita, you will become familiar with the gist of ten or fifteen of the Gita’s essential verses and will be able to apply them in your own life, just as I do in mine.
